Salmon Flies. The salmon fly has evolved greatly in recent times and today's salmon fisherman is indeed spoilt for choice. He may tie his own flies or choose from the wide range of salmon flies now available in fishing shops and on the internet, in many and varied styles and designs. Grays of Kilsyth offer three boxed selections of salmon flies, dressed on Fulling Mill double salmon fly .   Tying Books - posted in The Lodge: I currently own only one book on salmon flies, that being: Classic Salmon Fly Patterns: Over Patterns from the Golden Age of Tying by Michael D. Radencich (Sep 3 ) I am curious if anyone has suggestions on good books that goes into detail on tying classic salmon flies as opposed to just patterns that is currently .

Salmon Flies: Past and Present By Henk van Bork. Super photos quality tyed salmon flies. Good step instruction. **** THE BOOK IS NOW AVAILABLE IN PRINT FROM *** ***GET YOUR COPY HERE “Top Salmon Flies hardcover” There’s many good books about salmon fishing out there, which thoroughly cover the ins and outs of salmon fishing. But for many anglers the fly patterns for Atlantic salmon seem to be the most interesting part of salmon angling.

RE: Learning Spey/Salmon Flies /12/12 Salmon Flies by Jorgenson is a great book. Has a lot of neat little tricks and ideas, as well as a VERY solid explanation of the standard techniques, and a good selection of recipes. Actually my other recommended read for potential starters is Mr. Radencich's other book: Twenty Salmon Flies, which I will review next. So this book serves as a textbook even for intermediate and expert tyers. Over all, it will never hurt to keep this book in your collection. You will consult every now and then!! - A fly-dresser apprentice/5(23).
